  • Q How long are the lessons?  A. Either 45 minutes or 60 minutes depending on the lesson.

  • Q How many students are there in each lesson?   A. On average about 6-8, but sometimes we get as many as 10-12 in some lessons.

  • Q Can I learn faster in a group than in 1:1? A. Our research has shown that students improve faster in a group situation because it is more relaxed and less intense than in 1:1 lessons.

  • So can I join the Guitar Academy at any time of month or year?   A. Yes you can. The Guitar Academy is run on a weekly:monthly basis which allows any new student who joins to pick up the 'speed' of the class fairly easily.
  • What sort of materials can I expect to learn at The Guitar Academy? A. GA syllabus is very varied.

Each student receives their own course sheets per lesson - building on previous lessons.

In general terms, a student in a lesson would cover:

    • Riffs - Blues, Rock, Funk for example
    • Modern song charts - that are all explained in guitar tablature (tab)
    • Improvisation
